when I was working at the morgue in Burnaby I used to go for a run before every shift at 5 am at Deer Lake Park. That being said, that Ohtani Friday was the highlight of the Jays season. And to be honest it beats having your manager pull your starter in a must win game after 3 plus innings he dominated. I would think the Jays are the leader in the clubhouse for most disappointing season.

I would say its disappointing but I'm not sure where any optimism stemmed from. You're right that the Ohtani non-flight was the highlight of the 24 Jays and that's because they literally did jack shit else after despite having an obviously flawed roster and no prospects worth a damn.

And while they'd obviously be better with Ohtani I don't think it would be enough to get this roster more than 5 or 6 more wins than they have now. Like, maybe they're competing for a WC spot? That's what they've done for 4 years lol
