No it’s from 2019, but even then AM wasn’t as good as he is now in the d zone but he was still better than most and was definitely more of a “complete player” than Drai lol

It’s also just still funny how stupid Button can make himself look just by talking.

Even back in 2019, it was apparent that Draisaitl can't drive his own line which is why when the Oilers need a spark, they put #97 and #29 together. Nothing has happened in the almost three years since then that would change my mind. Don't get we wrong, Draisaitl is a fine player (although pretty dirty at times) and a fine scorer, but the Oil need him to create more offense away from #97.

Campbell will either fix himself or the Leafs will die. There’s no goalie out there worth getting unless the Canucks can be convinced to part with Demko or the Jets with Hellebuyck and I’m doubtful either is going to ask for a trade in-season or at all.

Doesn’t help when the forwards play like ass either.

If they’re still leaky after the Canucks/Krak/CBJ I’ll worry. Historically, the Sabres have tended to punch above their weight when they drive up the QEW.

Basically, if you score four past a goalie as good as Demko there’s no situation where you shouldn’t win.

Leafs aren’t the only good team with goalie issues (Colorado looks equally fucked in goal) but they’re the one probably most in need of playoff success for their management group. Think they might have to do something here.

Not holding my breath but he seems like a genuinely good dude who I’d like nothing more than to see succeed.

Also, even if he flames out he can just sign with a sun belt team in July and have a .930 sv% out of nowhere again next season. It’s the Leaf way.
