I mean, it does say that there are multiple sources who are completely anonymous and unidentified in any way. Get the pitchforks polished I guess

If you're a sports journalist who is completely making some shit up these days it seems all you have to do to get people talking about it is make it "believable".
I've considered Mirtle to be a shit for years but there are some people who thought highly of him once upon a time. I know with The Athletic being a complete rag that's gone down but people do still take his word for whatever reason.

That said, I have no idea what the Leafs' strategy is this offseason so I may doubt this but what do I know?

This thread is just pure fucking gold. Carlo is very bad at this lol

To add to ATF's tweet above, the Leafs have drafted a d-man with their last two 1st rounders before yesterday and traded one other for...you guessed it...a d-man!

Just for fun...

These are some pretty good Russian minor league stats, which mean nothing really but he’s 19 and will get patience from the Leafs. Man do they need a goalie to work out.

One thing I saw about the Leafs’ draft was that all their picks except Villeneuve are now Leafs property for four years. Plenty of time to develop and work with them and can be on ELC’s in their mid-20s.

Some guys get messed up when they are asked to switch sides...

/I only bring that up because it messed up Brodie for a while in Calgary.
Luckily for him he won’t be asked to do that here. He’s the unicorn so to speak lol.

Dermott did play some off side before and was...fine. He’s not great as it is so who knows.

So

Rielly-Brodie
Muzzin-Dermott
Sandin-Holl?

Or maybe Holl and Johnsson get packaged either directly for Weegar or for someone else and then they bring in Weegar and it’s Muzzin-Weegar and Sandin-Dermott. That would be pretty damn good.

That said, I hope Brodie does well in Toronto, he certainly seems enthusiastic to be playing closer to home and he's a smooth skating defenseman.

Not my quote, found this on Twitter.
"Anything happens to the boys, I'll be the first to jump in." —Wayne Simmonds, Maple Leafs"

Better stock some jerseys MLSE.
