Also, sorry but Freddy’s been shit for long enough now that handing the net to Campbell shouldn’t look like a disrespectful move. The Pens has 4 SHOTS in the second period and scored on 3 of them lol

Agreed. He has not been elite level on a consistent basis all year. Might be injuries, do not know, but the bottom line is he isnt getting it done.

I know its heresy, but if you could unload Freddy for an elite D man, I would make that trade.

There is only one more year on his contract, and a trade might avoid what is shaping up to be a very distracting and contentious 20-21 season. Unless you try to resign him. But I have a feeling if both sides were asked right now, they would be miles apart on perceived value.

I’m against re-signing him in general based on age. Ditto for Muzzin which is apparently a done deal.

I’d rather keep him for the contract year - guys tend to be better than they actually are in those situations.

But somethings gotta give right now. Even if the team in front of him isn’t playing great he’s gotta give us a save once in a while. Last night seemed atrocious.
