I am sure I have seen this topic elsewhere, but how do you see the ice team for the Center(re)s playing out this year?

JT and AM need/deserve 20 mpg, don't they (esp incl pp time). Kadri should get 15 anyway. So that leaves 5 minutes, most of which will be PK.

Could they get by with 3 C? The idea is intriguing. Otherwise you are paying JT and AM (eventually) a boatload of money to play 15-18 minutes.

In 16-17 the Pens played Crosby 19:53, Geno 18:37 and Bonino 16:39. I don't know how opponents would gauge what's the tougher matchup considering they're choosing between Matthews/Nylander or Tavares/Marner.

But the easiest answer is that's why they pay Babcock $7 mil a year. I'm sure he's been figuring it out all summer, along with how he's going to squeeze 45 minutes out of Ron fucking Hainsey.
