LOL

Yeah nothing like playing with 40 point players to make you a....40 point player?

He's complimentary to any good line for sure. And he's not worth 4.8 but last year he created plenty of offense he really just had troubling finishing. I don't expect that improve.

And last year he was well above average away from the puck and defensively. I didn't watch enough from his Leaf days but last year he was a good two way forward.
Didn't watch much last year I'm assuming defenders were focusing more on his linemates than him which gave him the room to get into the zone with more frequency. Which is pretty much what they did in his first year with AM. Because coaches aren't dumb and they are also aware that he is where plays generally go to die.

But even if he did have an offensive improvement over his Toronto years, I wouldn't want to be the team to reward him for it. I suppose the Sens can given they have no cap issues (well, no cap ceiling issues) and have 2.5 forwards signed. He's played enough to know what you're going to get from him. He's a borderline 3rd liner on any good team.

OK seriously, good for Connor. I like the guy, liked him with the Leafs. Worked with his dad. I am 1000% for any player getting as much as they can.

But geez that is a lot of term and AAV.

I guess this almost all falls within the time frame where Ottawa won’t have to pay many guys and will need the hit to help get to the floor so it’s not a big deal.

Guess Brownie got lucky he was traded where he was. Its far from the worst contract on the team *flips coin to Zaitsev*

Frank’s usually not insane. Combined with the “rear-view” guy I’m wondering if Melnyk is paying for good publicity?

A Yotes / Sens trade and a pretty good one for the Sens.

They want someone who will be on the ice a lot.
And Gubberson will most assuredly be stuck on some 2min shifts in the d zone
