List of Pens' general managers the past three decades.

Craig Patrick: hired December 1989, won Cup the following two seasons
Ray Shero: hired May 2006, ended playoff drought following season, Final appearance in year 2, Cup in year 3
Jim Rutherford: hired June 2014, won Cup in years 2 and 3

Just saying... :eyebrows:

It does help that one had Lemieux and drafted Jagr.
The other had Crosby and Malkin at a young age.
Finally HOF GMJR had Malkin/Crosby in their prime and carte blanche to trade away every draft pick.

Translation we aren't changing anything since we have no draft picks and certain players are untradeable.

meanwhile, Burke trying to make himself sound all brave, totally shits on the Pens organization

“I had GMs call me today and say, ‘You’re out of your mind. You’re going into a minefield with nothing but poor options in front of you. This will end badly — what are you thinking?’

Didn't Burke refer to this as the Pittsburgh way? Suck and get lucky to get a lottery pick and draft a generational talent. :pound:

Btw the Pens were a bigger team last year (though a little lighter) than TB or STL so :noidea:

I think Marcus Pettersson and Matty Murray ruined the curve.
Both around 6'4" and weigh about 150.

anyway @Bloody Brian Burke not sure what Bloody Brian Burke will do but the rest of the league will enjoy the Penguins sucking. :suds:

Hextall's gotta be asking himself WTF he got himself into right now right?

Also, if the Canucks are smart here they may be able to unload half their roster on the Pens if this is any indication.

we don't have any truculence to speak of.
i mean, Beagle's kind of big, but doesn't play like it.

Dash should be salivating at the faint whisper of hope that Burke sees Lucic as the answer

Tyler Myers?

Yeah not half the roster but those two contracts alone would go a long way.
