Pysyk just can’t stay healthy, bet he is done. Seriously was hoping for ANY warm body to out play Ruhwedel for the 6th spot. Guess there is one less now.

Seemed to me there were about 60 guys in camp I’ve never heard of
Like this guy:

Who I might add is missing out on a huge opportunity. He should get his last name officially changed to Jagr and make sure he pronounces his first name Jagr and wears 68.

At least when people call him Jagger (ie...like Mick Jagger) he better correct them and say his first name is pronounced Jagr.

Please god no Pirates whatever you do, don't bring him back!

Side topic last season when Newman was still blocking Cruz from playing everyday, I remember some dipshit try to tell me Cruz sucked and the Pirates were better off staying with Newman. (NOTE: had nothing to do with tanking and more that they thought Newman was the better player)
Let's see career WAR is worse even though he has had 4 times as many games played, already 29 and hit his ceiling years ago. But yeah Newman is a better option.

I’m so glad Hextall traded John Marino for Smith

Yeah, that was a weird one. Obviously sbb, you watch a ton more Penguins games than I do, but Marino always looked fine to me, nothing flashy, but a very solid defenseman who does chip in offensively from time-to-time. Those are the type of defensemen you want to keep in your organization.

Exactly, and he was signed for a few more seasons at a reasonable cap number too. Made no sense at all

I agree 100% trading Marino made zero sense for the return they got for him.

The rest of the group on waivers will just end up as AHL roster filler.

Sadly what this means is they are running out of options as the 6th d-man. I can't believe NO ONE can out play Chad Ruhwedel at this point. :L
