this was my very favourite part of the press conference.
"As painful as this process is, we feel that it's a necessary step to get us to the next level," he said.

In this case, "towing the party" line and "delusional" are pretty much one and the same. I imagine pretty much everyone who voted, "on the right course" are or were at one time from Calgary.

is he talking about getting to 29th spot, or completing the shitshow for the rest of the year to land McEichel

I was reading some Jean Beliveau articles, and saw this image of his 500th goal.
kind of thought this pic belonged in the Edmonton Defense Coffee Table Book

Some billionaires just aren't all that smart, eh.
Vote for a Reform(ed) Con, and put an end to all of your worries. "Let me buy your vote - with your own (taxpayers) money" (Brillo the Economist aka 'the pm').

Nice of Scrivens to point out the open man in the slot. Shame the only one listening was Marleau.

Marleau looks right at Scrivens too...

No wonder they're horrible - they do what their captain does, chasing the puck instead of playing zone

1) Utterly fantastic video.
2) That quote from Lowe at the end...holy molasses. That alone is enough for him to go. "Yeah, well, I won a lot in the 80's and that one time in the 90's, so suck it." Yeah, congrats. You were a player (a good one, you have that) on a team stacked with generational talent. What in the world do your Stanley Cups won as a player have to do with your abilities to run a team? Sincerely, how many great players end up being great hockey ops guys? And I mean beyond player development or a scout. I can't think of a ton off hand. There are certainly some greats still involved with teams, but being a winner on the ice doesn't make you suddenly good in a board room.

Man. The Oilers give up a lot of highlight reel goals.

Of course I score plenty of highlight reel goals against my 8 year old nephew. :dhd:
