Spector is right (what the hell is going on?)

Eakins was never ready for this job, and like his predecessors, has let the young players run amok, with leashes so long that the rank and file players simmer every time they suffer another minus on yet another egregious Taylor Hall giveaway.

Everything needs to change in Oilers organization - Sportsnet.ca

Although, I really don't want to see Dallas Eakins fired. I much prefer the organization as it currently is, utterly frozen in abject horror like Han Solo trapped in carbonite.

/the above Han Solo reference was shamelessly stolen.

Doesn't his lack of objection make it that much worse?

maybe ... i guess Gillis could have publically just said he didnt agree with it and quit ... but he probably thought he could make things work with Torts and didnt want to go out like that ... Gilly should have re-visited what he thought of his job that day in training camp last year when Aquilini sent in a construction crew to install a Murphy bed in Torts office :L

Someone got to Franceso Aquilini after this season and told him to get out of the way (probably nonno aquilini) ... and he has ... suddenly he's a silent owner

Tough to see that look on Draisaitl's face - I wonder if the Oilers will send him back to Prince Albert at the 39 game mark?

I think the most compelling part of that photo is David Perron's goatee

I think the best part is the fact that it cuts off before you can see that the blonde lady in the grey sweatshirt thingy is flipping off the team.

I think after this he'll probably just want to go home to Koln and eat all ze bratwurst.

Firing the goalie coach isn't enough, firing the head coach isn't enough, McDavid next year isn't enough, pretty sure any one of Crosby, Toews, Seguin, Doughty, Lundqvist, Ovechkin wouldn't be enough (okay, obviously all of those players together would). They need to clean house from the top on down. Whomever has been calling the shots needs to go. *slowly turns to look at Lowe* It seems fairly obvious to most that he's the one pulling the strings especially following Tambellini's departure. Or, they can continue their ineptitude, if they'd rather that.

Not much more into the abyss they can fall - it's about time to change the name and logo of the organization.

Lest we forget: Eakins' first power move as coach was to take away the doughnuts from the reporters and replace them with a vegetable tray

this is a true story.

put that to the tune of Dream Academy's "Life in a Northern Town", and you've got a winner
