my hatred for MY team clouds my judgement
Ya know, given Edmonton's persistent hopelessness, not the worst idea I've heard. Guessing Vinny has NTC?

Oilers have fired Goaltending coach Freddie Chabot. Expectation is Dustin Schwartz will replace him.
As always, blame the goaltenders/instruction in Edmonton.
You know, at times I start to feel sorry for Oilers fans, but then I remember all the gloating about "Another 9th place finish for the Flames" and "We're building something special up here" and "It won't be wnning the Cup, it will be how many Cups we will win" and I start smiling from ear-to-ear.
just listening to Marc Crawford in the cesspool and if i didnt know any better it sounds like he's angling to be the next Coiler coach lol
... alot of smoke being blown up that teams butt ... "their defense is ok" lol
I really think the Oilers are going to pull a page out of the Avalanche playbook of a couple years ago and keep Eakins until the end of the season (aka the Joe Sacco maneuver which resulted in landing MacKinnon). What better way to maximize your chances of getting McDavid by keeping a coach who clearly has lost the room?
So what you're saying then is the Oilers get the number one pick and Eakins leads Canada to bronze at the Worlds in May over in Praha?
/and Grant Fuhr is going to be the next Oilers head coach?
This team won't get better until ownership gets rid of all the former Oilers in management. Their player development staff needs to go as well.
