I think you could make the argument that McDavid and Draisaitl are the Oilers version of Crosby and Malkin. That's where the comparisons end however:

1. Pens had much better forward depth in their runs to the Cup
2. Letang > Nurse

the Athletic laid off a bunch of people this week too.
I thought they were supposed to be different?

never really looked into it too deeply, but i though the reporters had some ownership stake or something.

when The Stanchion left the Athletic he seemed to be really critical of them. tough job getting into for all but I imagine its a dream if you can make $$ being a free lancer.

Like I said in the follow up post I was looking for News 1130 when I stumbled on Vichy 1040, I usually keep it on because I need the traffic updates frequently.

Anyway, a couple years ago they stopped doing local broadcasts on there after 7 pm and on weekends except for the traffic and weather updates and do a national feed for most of the stories with a sprinkle of local. And that's a Rogers owned station.

It's just completely the way it's headed, everything singular and robotic and useless.

Bell did also make some cuts at the Toronto station though, they got rid of Leafs Lunch which has been on the radio on one station or another since the 90s. Today they played some ESPN radio in lieu.

I just can't imagine all of these stations are doing that awful unless podcasting really has just completely dwindled their audience.

Anyway, as usual fuck Robelus.
