Guys... what the fuck is this winning streak? I was fully on the War Train to fire Torts and all of a sudden the jackets are in WC1

We all know there is a catch. I’ll be damned if I even try to catch a whiff of hope about this team again

First and foremost, I am still on the fire Torts train. In fact, I may very well be conductor of it. IMO, the Power Play is still shit, the team is inconsistent and I feel like this surge is the team themselves saying "Fuck this. Let's have some fun". His time is done. We need a fresh voice.

I think the team is rallying around Foligno and whatever has clicked for Bob is helping tremendously. Wonder if preliminary/unofficial contract talks with teams have got it in his head that if he wants 10m per, he needs to get in and win a round. Bread is finally acting like he isn't just trying to not get hurt. I think Panarin might also be seeing Bjorkstrand's sudden emergence and realize that he could wind up on the third line in a hurry which could hurt his value a bit (though realistically not a lot).

The Jackets want to avoid TB. But realistically, there isn't an ideal matchup.

TB - Buzzsaw
Caps - Well, we've seen that movie before and the Caps have pulled it together lately
NYI - Coach that owned Torts last year.
Pitt - Not likely matchup but still kryptonite.

I am just enjoying watching them play right now.

If Carolina would have beat Pittsburgh, those two would have been tied at 95 points, with us one behind.

We would have had a shot at the 3 spot.

Tomorrow's going to be huge. All three of the wildcard contenders have tough games.

CBJ-Bruins
Hurricanes-Leafs
Habs-Lightning

There are some teams that can rough up TB in a series, and beat them. We are not one of those teams. We need to play the Caps or the Islanders to have any (slim as it may be) shot of winning (or shutout Bob shows up all series).

Blue Jackets sign Peeke to entry level contract

Collegiate star coming straight to Columbus. Could be perfect timing too. McQuaid still out and Harrington is not big show ready. Murray still out with what is suspected to be a broken rib. However, Murray is hanging around and traveling with the team, just not practicing yet.

And speaking of long awaited arrivals:

Merzlikins got his visa stuff worked out. He is in Columbus. And taking pictures of girls' asses in the airport, apparently.

Bjorkstrand and Bobrovsky red hot right now. I'd rather play the 'Canes.

Duchene gets one to bring us within 3. Korpisalo restores the 4 goal lead with a weird poke check thing.

I can't wait until he is gone.

Elvis meets the press. Long interview, but guy seems really loose.

Highlights:
- He likes the music in the arena and expects to be dancing a lot to engage the crowd. Wants the crowd to sing and chant.
- He doesn't seem like he will be intimidated by anyone
- He loves the Cannon and hopes to hear it a lot
- He doesn't know who he practiced with yesterday (Eric Robinson), hasn't met much of the team yet
- He has a friend now in Columbus, who was his Uber Driver
- He is named after *that* Elvis, his father's favorite musician.
