Bobrovsky and Murray for Dougie Hamilton?

Or does Carolina's ownership say no to any trade that doesn't give them more goals...

At this point I think that pretty much any trade for Murray is a no-go for the Jackets. Unless it's something super special, and Museum Whiny-boy ain't it.

I mean if they start trying to land Seguin, Murray is available.

Nash is dropping the puck Sunday evening, apparently.

I was watching highlights of this game last night and they showed a scary incident where Cam Atkinson's stick blade somehow found its way through Brayden Holtby's mask. I thought those openings were designed to stop that from happening :noidea:

The masks are designed to stop the puck from getting through, but it is the dirty little secret of cat eye cages that some stick blades at the right angle can get through. Youth through high school in the states mandate double bar cat eye cages (if they choose cat eye, my son hates them), but once in junior or college they can go with the single bar style.

note: Blue Jackets have called up Kole Sherwood for tonight's game. This is pretty cool on the Jackets behalf because Kole was coached on his skating by Rick Nash's brother and Rick got pretty close with the Sherwood family while both their boys were coming up through the AAA Blue Jackets program. Kole's brother Keifer plays in Anaheim.

Kole plays for the Monsters in the AHL.

Nice little video tribute for Nash tonight. The timing of it couldn't have been coincidental.

Also, these billboards going up around Columbus trying to convince those involved to do what's best for the team are pretty great.

Took a girl to her first NHL game last night. I told her there's not usually that many goals.

Only pertinent question

What did she think of the cannon?
I did kind of look to see if she jumped at all when we scored the first time, and she didn't seem to. I didn't ask her about it, though.

I'm sure she would have said something about it being awesome, though. Because it is

I also hope you told her the anthem singer (LEEEEOO!) usually has a microphone.
