I guess the big question is how many go with Jarmo? I thought they had a decent front office, who made some WTF choices but overall they draft, trade (Bjorkstrand notwithstanding) and develop well.

The bolded is the key part for me, there's plenty of good coaches out there, after Babcock left Detroit, what exactly did he accomplish? He had some very good teams in Toronto and accomplished diddly squat. I also talked to a guy who worked closely with Babcock and can confirm the guy has a massive ego.

It's all so tiring.

There was a clear lack of structure and system with Larsen. It was a clear need because the coaches with the most success recently have a top to bottom structure that everyone knows so when season go off the rails with injury, guys who come in can just plug in and go. Cassidy, Sullivan, Cooper, are good examples I think. And on the ice, Babcock is a systems coach. Jackets sorely lacked it.

But he wasn't the only one. Surely someone else could have been had. Brunette did an incredible job in FLA with the craziness around Q. He was exactly what we needed.

It's been a downward spiral since we passed over Bednar in order to hire Torts.

In happier Blue Jackets news - Fantilli with a hatty today in Traverse. Seems a lot more skill guys go for that speed change/right down the throat move that McDavid made famous now. Not sure that's gonna work as well against, say, Hedman but it's fun to watch.

How does the team address this statement without acknowledging now that management half assed an investigation on something that was obviously wrong between their high-risk coach and players on their team, apparently some of the youngest, in order to shut up any hint of a problem and move forward?

I don’t see how either Jarmo or Davidson stick around here, they’ve just completely shot their credibility with half their roster. I’m not sure Jenner’s getting off here, either.
