Obviously somebody on the Jackets went and said something about this to someone. I guess what we'll never know is the tone, if they just simply relayed "Babs asked Boone to show him some pics of his family or whatever" or if they sauced it up the way Biz did or if he did that all on his own.

Funniest outcome here is Biz gets fired then Babcock gets fired in a year and Jenner goes on a podcast and is like "yeah that shit was weird as fuck why was he asking for pics of my kids" lol

Never paid much attention to him or his DDD show. They aired a series this summer where he (and friends) rolled through TN and KY, including our town, so I watched it/him.

Marty Walsh and NHLPA Assistant Executive Director Ron Hainsey met with Blue Jackets players in Columbus, a meeting described by several sources as “intense.” On Tuesday, when the story broke from Paul Bissonnette on the Spittin' Chiclets podcast, both the NHL and NHLPA initially were satisfied with the explanations from Boone Jenner and Johnny Gaudreau. However, it appears things changed for both later that night when information was received that some of the younger Blue Jackets were uncomfortable with what had occurred. That appears to be the major focus of the investigation.

Hopefully it's a "Kids nowadays think differently, don't do it again" and not a "Blow it up and can the coach and GM before noon" kind of thing.

USA hockey goes into how you have to handle players differently now in their coaching training. What worked when I played doesn't now. And I've been coaching long enough that the kids I coached a few years ago are older than Jiricek, Johnson and Fantilli. So hopefully just a learning moment for grandpa. And some empowerment for younger players to say "no, buzz off". Just really worried about a divided locker room because I don't know that Jarmo is the guy to handle that again. In fact, I am pretty sure he isn't. And Nash isn't ready to be a GM yet.

And at the end of the day it still isn't what Biz (he's yanking phones and putting them on blast for everyone) or Commodore (He's looking for dick picks because he's a perv) tried to classify it as. But the small amount of potential issue means those two fuckwits are going to feel justified and will never stop all season. Would be a shame if they got a bad dose of booger sugar.
