Holy shit. Kid just came off a 6 points in 3 games run at Traverse City and on day one of camp he is between the two top wingers.

Reminder - he is the guy we picked with the first rounder Chicago gave us for Jones.

Hey, we're gonna need Sillinger back in junior with the Tigers.

Hey, we're gonna need Sillinger back in junior with the Tigers.
According to people who were at practice today he made up almost half the ice to break up a 3 on 1, fed the puck to Laine who carried the other way THEN made it back for Laine to dish to him for a one timer.

Lot of words to say "no".

The BlueJackets broadcast of the game is just the in-arena/jumbotron feed with the radio call over it. So in commercials we are getting what is being shown in the arena. They keep doing those 10 questions things with some of the new Jackets.

Jake Bean, who i suspect is an actual choir boy, responded to the question "What is one food you can't stop eating" with "My girlfriend's chicken cutlets".

They cut to the shot on the ice and caught Roslovic skating up to him, laughing and mouthing "chicken cutlets?" and Bean just shaking his head. A minute later, Bean scored from the point. Roslovic was DYING as Bean went through the line at the bench. This is how nicknames get born.

Atta boy chicken cutlets! 3 points on the night.

He couldn't wait to get out when torts was here, but apparently he hung around. Solid veteran leadership voice. Good to see him back.

Based on what I have seen, here is how I expect the lineup to shake out at the start:

Laine - Sillinger - Voracek (Until Domi comes back, then tough choice on where Sillinger goes but he looks ready)
Bjorkstrand - Roslovic - Nyquist
Bemstrom - Kuraly - Texier
Hoffmann - Jenner - Robinson

Foudy will probably go to Cleveland to be 1C with Meyer and Chinakhov. Dunne and Danforth may stay around as extra forwards.

Werenski - Gavrikov
Bean - Boqvist
Peeke - Kukan
Bayreuther - Lehtonen

Elvis
Korpi

At some point, I expect a trade or trades involving Korpi, Stenlund, Carlsson, Harrington and Bemstrom. Dunne, Sillinger, Foudy or Chinakhov will fill Bemmer's role.

Next year Sillinger, Chinakhov, Johnson, Foudy Dunne, and Danforth will compete to be regulars up front. Holm, Christinasen and Berni should be ready to fill out the back end. And Marchenko and Voronkov may be here too.

How has Sillinger looked so far, 43? That's a couple of pretty good linemates he's centering tonight.
He pretty much walked in, slapped his junk on the table and said "I am here" lol

He came in and took over the rookie camp, led the team all the way through Traverse City and Larsen decided to throw him into the fire at the outset of came to see how he did. And he has pretty much lit it up between Laine and Voracek. Laine has been raving about his compete level and speed. He has stayed there between those two and made it really hard for Larsen to move him away.

Daniil Tarasov stopped 26 of 27 shots in the 2 periods he played, so naturally that means we can safely trade Elvis and Korpi for Jack Eichel.

Also Boone Jenner got Two goals so he should be captain and top line center.

The Foud Show.

Nice touch in close. Hell of a pass from Bemstrom too.

Only surprise here is that Harrington isn't one of them.

Holm and Svozil both have a ton of potential. I hope Malatesta never finds his way back. Jared Boll II

J-F Berube has done enough to stick around. I feel like Jet Greaves will probably get a deal too. JF will back up Tarasov in Cleveland. I would expect us to ask for a backup back in the Korpi + trade. Tarasov and Merzlikins need their reps, but we need an insurance policy at both levels if either gets hurt.

Pretty much the NHL roster for tonight's game against Buffalo. Gus and Korpisalo come back from injury.

Take out Chinakhov for Hoffmann or Texier
Take out Carlsson for Kukan or Lehtonen
Take out Tarasov for Elvis

That's the opening night roster, IMO.

Pretty much final cuts. Maybe a few more to go.

Bayreuther had to go on waivers to go to Cleveland. If Seattle claims him, I will rupture my spleen laughing.

Looking more and more cemented that he is in the lineup opening night. And no one has made a case to be centering Laine and Voracek above him. Only question is how long he holds onto the role.
