"Torts isn't a terrible coach, it's the injuries. He can't be successful when the team is missing Bob"

Never mind that they were 7 games under .500 and now with his system installed an with more than a month passed they are now only 8 games below .500.

He's gonna get the same pass Richards got.

Ah yes, goalies. Consistently getting coaches fired and soon after keeping them hired.

Joonas Korpisalo gets the start tonight against Tampa.

Tough draw for your first NHL game. Stamkos and company.

There's hope. Todd Richards presided over a group that had no drive and got canned after 7 straight losses.

Tortellini is currently presiding over a group with no drive that is at 5 straight losses.

WTF is Torts doing with RyJo?!?!?!

Teaching him how to be a pro. Duh.

I know it looks a lot like humiliating and wasting him, but trust him. Torts knows what he's doing. Proven Winner (tm)

This is great stuff. My only wish would be that Larry Brooks be there to ask torts about the RyJo benching and players only revolt...I mean meeting.

pish posh. We have Aaron "Portzline" Twatwaffle to hold torts' feet to the fire and get the scoop on the big stories of the day like the Jackets *NOT* putting in a waiver claim on someone. Part of the reason Tortorella has yet to bite anyone in public is he is afraid of what Twatwaffle will print about it.

And it was not a "revolt". What Tortorella said is "these players are revolting". There is a difference.

It was a constructive meeting between players and was all part of the Torts plan, and a sure sign that they are all learning to be pros finally. You just can't see it because you are not a proven winner (tm).

How many shots were blocked at this meeting?

Reports are Dubinsky threw a water cooler and David (water bottle police) Clarkson yelled at him. Does that count?

Hearing that RyJo might be a healthy scratch tonight against the Yotes.

Will you be close enough to hit Tortorella with a battery?

A car battery?

Hearing that RyJo might be a healthy scratch tonight against the Yotes.

That will teach him to not cross check someone in the head when he has the chance like a real god damned pro.

If I'm this kid I'm filing a fucking grievance with the PA and demanding a trade. This is fucking lunacy.

The fans are already buying the "Johansen is the devil" rhetoric, so why not finish it off with a trade request?

Team has had exactly two franchise players in their existence and they've run both out of town on a rail. Fucking pathetic.

All I can do is imagine what it would have looked like with a top line of Nash, Johansen and Saad...

And a second line with Voracek, Foligno and Jenner.

And no Dubinsky anywhere. Or Jack Johnson.

Yes, I realize two pieces from the Nash trade led to landing Saad, but let me have my delusions. It's all I've got left.
