Man, I thought their soft starts in the last couple of games was going to bite them tonight.

Also, this seems good

7-1-1 now with Big Z in the lineup. Really solidified the d. Pushed Friedman out of the 6 spot. Helped reduce the ice time of Hughes/Hronek keeping them fresher. Cant wait to see it when Soucy gets back.

Plus we gots that VeZiNa CaLIbrE gOAltEnDinG …. of Casey “Deshits”

I still can’t believe Calgary took a 3rd and a 5th for him.

Or that nobody else offered more.

And will die laughing when someone overpays for a second pair guy on the Sabres in February that you never hear of again.

We'll never know how big of a distraction he was in the Flames dressing room, but I think it was getting to the point where they just wanted to be rid of him. Also, I wonder how big no retention of salary was in making this trade (it appears on the surface to be pretty big).

it was everything. No one would cave on that and its what Calgary wanted. Canucks lucked out with timing but Allvin should get the pat on the back for pulling the trigger on it.... multiple times this season

Which still makes no sense, his hit is $3.75 mil. If someone offers you a second to eat $1.8 mil (or, like the rumours had it, a better package for both Z and Tanev with salary retained) I'm still not understanding it from Calgary's POV unless they're insane and they're planning to add cap for some reason.
