i didnt listen to post game. Did we get Henriks. Man that was our worst game and we will learn from that speech yet again?

so we will score 4 or 5 against buffalo on Friday and people will be. see we can score as well?

this team CANT compete with the big boys. I dont want a simple playoff round...... I want to light the fuse

the teams compete level is congruent with my care level ... when it became 2 - 0 I turned it off

id say trade em all but they have little trade value ... we're the Flames from 5 years ago

I remember the pre-season state of the union address with Lord Linden and Jim Benning when they opened up the floor to take qiuestions - This one was quite vociferous in saying that he didn't want the Canucks to turn into the Calgary Flames. Well, buddy, it's happened.

Now that I've heard it, it actually is a perfect comparison.

Vancouver's in a bit of a tougher spot, though - lots of medium-term contracts but with significant dollars left on the, not to mention the Sedins are $14 million worth of cap space they need to move as one (and find a decent return on).

Now, there is one team with ample cap space, some decent prospects and a stockpile of picks and a team president who not only drafted the twins but also took a middle-of-the-night flight to Sweden to try and entice them to the Maple Leafs (only for them to re-sign in VAN before he landed)....

as bbb mentions I dont think they could ever get value for the Sedins since they do have to be moved as one ... it can be debated what kind of value they have now anyways :noidea: ... then again their contract bum-hole buddies down the coast in San Jose have put up similar ppg numbers over the past 3 years

i think the best move for the sedins is to move them onto different lines at this point ... the cycle doesnt work on the good teams anymore especially when Daniel isnt exactly a shooter (post Duncan Keith hit) ... they will still be first unit pp and they can try to conjure up that classic sedinery that once existed there

that being said ... they need more to play with than the junk they have ... Ive had enough of Chris Higgins ... good pk'er but he is not a 2nd liner at all

Rogers Arena was like a morgue last night - granted the home team did little to change that, but that was as quiet and dead of a crowd as I can remember there. The attempt at the wave in the third period was pretty apathetic as well.

they've had a good test of where they're at against top teams nashville (?!) tampa and anaheim in the past two weeks.
0-3, outscored 12-3.

in the cesspool ...

Giants and Canucks havent had the greatest relationship in the past ... certainly improved with the new regime ... Bonner was blowing some serious smoke this morn

said Virtanen at this stage of his career "is a bigger, faster, tougher version of Milan Lucic"

Are we going to see Jensen up with the big club at any point this season?

Jared McCann's looked improved, too. At worst you're getting a great third line C, at best a good second liner.

Wish I could say the same for Freddy Gauthier. :twitch:

good question ... 3 goals in his last 16 games so he would fit right in on the 2nd line :L lol

Willie has said previously he doesnt want to be "playing guys to see what we've got" ... well they were forced to with Corrado and he has shown he can perform at this level ... I think they should still give Jensen a shot though

You don't remember his 0pts in 5 games?

How about Hunter Shinkaruk?

heard it said a couple times by Travis Green and the Utica Comets pxp guy that Shinkaruk has had a tough transition to the pro game ... doesnt have the strength ... doesnt help he is coming off major hip surgery

I will spitball that if they end up making a trade involving a prospect leaving that his name will be in the mix moreso than any other young canuck
