^Is that Kesler flying out of there? Crampy is probably even more happy (if the rumours are true  )

LOL - might be the greatest Canucks video I've seen!

There isn't a big enough thumbs up for that video

LOL

That could just as easily been the Leafs collapse against the Bruins last spring.

How the hell does anyone love BC hydro? My next door neighbour - who's condo is up for sale and hasn't been in the place for over a year with absolutely NO power going on - just got a bill for the same amount as us (family of four). Yeah, "smart" meters alright.

/rant

ok, maybe it's the "other" BC Hydro that's a favourite brand?

BIGGEST FLIP

Just who is that dashing goateed man?

No, not the one above. The bespectacled one behind the Canucks bench.

Notice there haven’t been any big blowups in weeks? Notice the coach not screaming and pointing at referees?

Remember those public displays of chewing out players at the beginning of the year?

Remember the passionate timeouts?

Remember Jannik Hansen and Alex Edler getting doused in Torts spittle?

Where the hell has that gone?

If ever there was a game that a player needed to be publicly lashed with four-letter words it seemed to be Wednesday in Winnipeg, a game which Alex Edler played like a space cadet from beginning to end.

But Tortorella was calm. And in control.

Yes, meet Melancholy John and get used to him.

Tortorella has consciously turned over a new leaf, even though he wouldn’t admit it to me after the game.

“I’m always calm, but you guys make me look like an idiot,” he said.

Hmmm. Don’t think so.

Tortorella has been trying to save the Canucks season, and his job, with a kinder, gentler, friendlier, more detached approach.

Amazingly, he’s trying to win over his players, and get to them, by acting more like AV.

No wonder he’s about to be fired.

The in-your-face approach has not worked. Either that or he’s given up on it way too early.

It alienated players, and now the coach is trying to win them back by being something he hasn’t been over the years.

Good luck.

That’s why people saw him in the locker room after Saturday’s win against the Calgary Flames, giving Kesler plenty of “good game” love.

And I suspect you’ll see a lot more of it.
