Ugh...I'm already getting sick of all the Andrew Luck talk.

agree, its similar (not same) to all the Reggie Bush talk. referring only to the extreme hype on Luck. the 2011 just started and Luck is a big topic of discussion?

If Peyton Manning is out for the entire season, I wouldnt be surpirsed if the Colts ends up with the number one pick in the draft. WOOOOW, they could set there team up for another 15 years. Would they trade Peyton away?

I don't think Luck will end up with the league's worst team. He has so much potential value that I think he could force a trade to a respectable team like Elway or Eli Manning did.

Manning could be released after this year and the Colts would not be financially responsible for the remainder of Peyton's contract making him a FA. Even if Manning comes back they draft and trade Luck for anything they need such as DE.

Hard to compare different GMs because they're all working in different circumstances.....but I've always thought Polian's resume of creating the Bills SB teams, then heading expansion Panthers' success, then turning the Colts around immediately (admittedly with a mega-assist from Manning) was about as good as it gets.

He does have a pretty good record of success with the Bills, Panthers, and Colts. Although he also got a huge assist from the NFL with the Panthers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but they got two draft picks every round in their first draft, plus they didn't have a salary cap for a year or two. (The Jaguars got the same treatment)

Tell Ray Ratto Clyde. I'm sure he'll thank you for providing the topic of his next article. :)

As a Spurs fan, I remember the Duncan draft like yesterday. They had everyone except Vinny Del ***** injured from their starting lineup, "leading" them to a 20-62 record. David Robinson and Sean Elliott were both hurt for the better part of the entire season. IIRC the Celtics were throwing games just to ensure that they would have the most draft balls in the lottery.

With that being said, I cannot fathom a situation where the Colts without Manning are so bad, that they end up with the worst record and first pick in the draft.
