& quite possibly eventually off the team this season. If Keenum & Haskins are not complete disasters what really is the pt of having McCoy? Great - he is familiar w/ the offense, but on the flip side he is prone to mistakes & now apparently injuries.

They probably will stash him on IR for a period just to make sure Case/Haskins arent complete disasters. Once his IR stint is over, if one of the others is playing ok, he may very well get cut.

he wont get cut till next year if he is on IR . no need to cut him right away after being eligible to come off

I think you guys are forgetting Colt has a nice contract in place. Regardless of the IR stint, he sticks around this year for sure.

yes , but you dont have to take them off IR if they arent ready or you dont want to . its an option and i think you get 2 now
