I think Colley uses very little previous season data to arrive at his rankings, and doesn't entertain score fests against perceptibly weaker opponents.

It's a computer.

It had Notre Dame #1 in it's final poll last season "after" they'd lost to Alabama in the NC.

I think it basically boiled down to Bama's loss was worse than ND's loss ranking wise. I could be completely wrong about that though. It's still silly either way.

Head -to-Head should be the heaviest weight factor, then work your way down from there.

Coaching/gameplanning isn't a measurable statistic unless you're looking at W's and L's.

How would you propose to do that code wise?

You're right. I guess programing respective schedules and results in would be impossible to do.

Still may be smarter than the average Team SEC fan.

Both teams had one loss and ND played a tougher schedule. It's as simple as that. It's also why Florida was ahead of louisville after the bowls.

:L

You go ahead and do that big boy, and then lets all laugh at your results because the transitive property is total shit.

Oh wait, here you go, it's already been done.

My Team Is Better Than Your Team - The Transitive Property of College Football

And btw, there is only 1 way I use head to head match ups in such a way, and that is after all the rankings are said and done. If the team below the team above them has beaten the team above them, then I will move that team ahead. A team can keep moving up spots so long as the team above them is someone they have beaten. If the teams have played twice in a year, then the latest game is the one it uses.

But if a team is ahead by 2 or more ranks, no movement.

Head to Head is the #1 tie breaker in every conference when determining who will play in their respective conference title games.

Quit being an idiot.

This isn't conference divisions where they have all played each other.

Believe me. We all understand that Bamers defend ignoring Head-to-Head games for a chance at do-overs.
