He has a better/more accurate arm than Wilson, and I would be nervous about RGIII's long term durability. I do like Kaepernick a lot.

I think Teddy Bridgewater is the real deal, too. I would be surprised if he isn't the first QB taken this year

He's not more accurate..... Stronger arm, yes, his arm is probably the strongest in the NFL. But Wilson is more accurate.

Peyton is on pace for 100+ TD's.

Just sayin'.

I completely buy in to your premise bringing Peyton in would have been great for the Bengals, but the only problem with that is Peyton knew we were the Bengals, and even though I'm sure he can see the talent level the Bengals are developing, he would not under any circumstance sign with Mike Brown to play under Marvin Lewis, so there was never any chance the Bengals could have brought him in.

I don't under any circumstances believe Kaep would have been a bust here. Look at the success they've had with Dalton. Kaep's talent would have shined here.

When it appeared that the Colts may attempt to trade Peyton is when I advocated trading a couple 1st round picks for him. I know he never would have signed here under FA.

But what I would do to see Peyton in Gruden's system throwing to Green...

IF you are meaning between Kaep and Dalton then yes you are correct in what you say. If you are meaning in the entire NFL then Kaep is up there but is definitely not number 1 and it is definitely very close for that title. I would rank Rodgers #1, Manning #2 after week one's performance, then Tom Brady #3. The young guys still have way too much to prove to start saying they are #1 in the entire NFL.

Kind of amazing to think the Niners were finalists in the Manning sweepstakes last yr. Peyton as a starter and Kaepernick as the backup could have been Montana/Young pt 2

Right, a QB who is looking to possibly be one of the best in the league would have been a bust had we drafted him. That's just silly.

agree....You know if Zampese and Gruden can get Andy ready I see no reason why they couldnt get Kap ready...He would fit in Cincy.....too damn bad.

Kaepernick would have never developed here. He would have been a huge bust.

Agree. CK was very raw coming out of Nevada. As far as being the best in the league, he's awesome but if I had to pick a guy to win a game I'd take Rodgers. As far as the young guys go I'd take Luck. I think when it's all said and done he'll have the best career. I think he'll be Peyton like in his on field command after a couple years.

Dalton was a low ceiling high floor type of guy. Still is. He's good, but he just doesn't have the God given ability to be great. In hindsight, that was Gruden's guy so I've got no issue with letting the OC pick his QB. I wanted Mallett that year. CK I thought was too big of a project for the Bengals.

Kaepernick led his team to the SB his second yr in the league and his first as a starter. im not sure how much of a project he turned out to be for them

I will acknowledge that he wouldn't have been as successful outside of SF.. that's best coached team in the NFL

This is the thread were Colin Kaepernick fans act like he plays like the quarterback who was surrounded by Ray Rice/Anquan Boldin/Torrey Smith/Dennis Pitta/Vonte Leach/Ray Lewis/Ed Reed/Terrell Suggs/Haloti Ngata/Jacoby Jones.

well, that's why I drafted him in the 6th round in another league and didn't select him as "my keeper" in one league as a first round pick, lol. He's athletic, but he's still a n00bie QB.

Of course, if I had brains, I would have strarted Eli instead :)

now I have to rely on Tyler Eifert to get me to victory.
