I generally regard it as running somewhere through the middle of VA.That Crazy line goes between North Carolina and Virginia and extends across the country?
I am on the correct side of it. So is DDD.
Dare and Sabrefan are... uh.... suffering.
Sabres and I are in similar situations. We live in 2 of the only major metropolitan areas that doesn't lean toward blue on the political map.
Charlotte itself is very blue with 9-2 D vs. R in city council, a D mayor, and either 6-3 or 7-2 (I don't remember) D vs. R on the county board of commissioners.Sabres and I are in similar situations. Which specific place are you referring to? There's a lot of good BBQ here, so...Let's look on the bright side. He has a kick ass rib place on the lake nearby and you have...
Not a terrible drive to Disney World.

You don't have to get very far out of Charlotte for it to get red fast.
This is the clearest image of it I could find (I know it's from 2008) where you can clearly see where Charlotte is located and the sea of red surrounding it.

I think I read an article the other day that rated Charleston, SC as he friendliest city in America...
If you want a true southern experience, visit dirt track in rural NC/SC. That would be way more 'Murica than a 4th of July parade. Trust me.My sister lives just across the border in SC from that blue Island.
I once went to a 4th of July parade in her little town. I am never doing that again.
T-Bones on the lake (Lake Wylie)

My mouth starts to water when we cross into Virginia on the way down.

I'm not familiar with T-Bones. Interesting that it's not really a BBQ joint but apparently has great ribs. Not a rib place, but the next time you come through, I highly recommend Midwood Smokehouse in Charlotte. Be sure it's the Central Ave. location. I think it's pretty much the consensus best BBQ joint in town.
It's a very cromulent word.Oh, you can bet that "complectogram" is going to make it into my vocabulary.
