That Crazy line goes between North Carolina and Virginia and extends across the country?

I am on the correct side of it. So is DDD.

Dare and Sabrefan are... uh.... suffering.

I go to Atlanta a lot, basically spend half my time there for work. I had a chance to move there but I just can't do it but what is interesting near the city they are getting more progressive but I still can't get past the mega churches and the amount of churches in general there.

And the amount of, at least I thought they were, very intelligent people I work with there that truly think the Dinosours lived with Jesus and evolution never happened.

took my kid to the Natural History Museum in NYC a few years ago, which is an amazing place as it walks through several different lines of evolution fossil by fossil, skeleton by skeleton.
incredibly thorough, incredibly linear, and when laid out like that, an 8 year old can (and did) understand it.

as we are looking at this amazing dinosaur skull, a full grown and apparently educated women loudly states
"well it's nice and all, but it's not in my bible so i don't believe it"

It turned into a good teaching moment for my kid to be aware of fucking morons from all walks of life.

I desperately need to get back to that place. Haven't been since I was a kid but I vividly remember so much of it. Kids remember these things.

I don't know about our percentage of evolution deniers vs. Atlanta, but there are a TON of churches in Charlotte.

And we've got a street named after Billy Graham. It's a really shitty street, so I guess it makes sense it that regard.

And Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker spent their time scamming people out of millions of dollars in Charlotte and Fort Mill, which is a Charlotte suburb just across the state line.

Fayette County woman charged with stabbing husband with scissors for drinking her beer

If this wasn't in Fayette county (if you know Western PA then trust me you know how it is there...) you would seriously think this came out of the Florida panhandle or Central Florida.

We used to say back in Maryland that Pennsylvania was Philly and Pittsburgh and a whole lot of Kentucky between them.

I thought it was funny, but I wound up really liking Harrisburg, Lancaster, etc. I deduced that all the Kentucky was around State College and Altoona.

And Re: Jesus and Dinosaurs - not far away from me (~2 hours), in Kentucky, is the creation museum. I think that would be a great place to go on a SportsHoopla Field Trip. I know a guy who went with the intention of finishing it, but he bailed after a display that explained the similarities in species on different continents by saying that trees fell, and created makeshift rafts on which the animals simply floated across the oceans.

New Hope and Lambertville across the border in NJ are really nice. Could do without all the stupid motorcycle noise but cute towns nonetheless.

You can't swing a dead cat in Atlanta without hitting a Waffle House.

Donald Trump can beat polls, UKIP's Nigel Farage tells rally - BBC News

Yeah, he can beat the polls. All he has to do is lie about every single issue and play upon people's fears. Occasionally plastering a lie that plays on old people's fears on the side of his tour bus so everyone sees it.

Plus racists. You need lots and lots of racists.

And then, when you do win, you look at it and say "Fuck, I didn't think they were that stupid" and you can just bail while the economy crashes behind you.

Gonna need that rusty chainsaw for Nigel next.

If he can convince himself to take his own name off the side of the bus (plane?), he'd have all of them covered.
