No, my post originally was "I love Big Mouth Billy Bass" but I think a mod changed it. And I do love it. 15 years later its still comedy gold when it sings "Take Me To The River". Best purchase I ever made; I bought mine at algreens.

I like the way you reeled in the previous topic.

I admit I was pretty amused when I saw Take Me To The River was an Al Green song. After that I had to hook it to the previous topic.

Even on days when I have a lot to do; when my old dog sits next to me and rests his head on my leg - I try to find the time to rest with him a bit.

If I ever got a collie I would call it Buddy Collie. If I ever got a boxer I would call it The Big Boxer. If I ever get a chow I am going to call it Richie Chow Chow.

I guess that leaves Chowlie Chaplin for me...

That's a fine name.
I am still bummed I couldn't think of a dog breed that rhymes with Valens. This week is really starting out rottenly.

So I decided to sit down and force myself to watch the VMAs. I knew it would be bad, I have not enjoyed it for quite some time but I like to see what the kids are into these days. My response is pretty much the same as it has been for near a decade:

Maybe it's just me, but I don't consider 2015 to be a great year for music (as in there doesn't seem to be a lot of new music that resonates with people). I'm even less with it than Nasty, but I checked with my teenage daughters and they pretty much concur with me.

I hate to be the one to break this to you dash, but that just means that your daughters are getting old.

And if your daughters are old, do you know what that makes you? Uh huh, REALLY OLD!

Ughh, my stomach hurts.

I was stopped in traffic this morning and realized that I had my kind of audience (captive) so I decided to get out of my car to entertain everyone. I decided to perform Alec Baldwin's part from Glengarry Glen Ross. I didnt notice that smoking weightlifter guy was driving a Hyundai. I thought he was shaking my hand to praise my performance right up until I felt his fist in my stomach.

There's plenty of good music out there, you just don't hear it on mainstream radio.

I scored 8 goals today in two pick-up soccer games. First time playing in over two years. Feels good.

So, with everyone important (except me) off in anticipation of a holiday weekend, I do not have my usual lunch time cohorts. I wound up having lunch with people in my department who I know but do not associate with a whole lot in non-work ways. So I went to lunch with a few today. One of them is one of those "false flag" conspiracy types. Government broke the levees in New Orleans, Sandy Hook didn't happen, global warming is a hoax, etc. And to make it worse he never comes out and says it's all a hoax. He's merely "asking questions".

So at lunch, we are waiting for our burgers and someone starts the subject of favorite fast foods. The conspiracy guy mentions the McRib and says he wishes it would come back.

So I said "you know why it's only certain times, right?". I went on to explain to him that the McRib is made of animals that die in oil spills or para-military actions against sovereign citizens that the government can't burn for fear of explosions. They sell the meat and the "sauce" (bitonium petroliate I said) to McDonalds for a dollar a pound and McDonald's agrees to donate the profits to their favorite politicians. When they get enough, the McRib is "back". Look it up. The McRib was back just one month after Katrina.

So when you see that floated around the internet, you know why.

Side note, I have a few new co-workers who like my style.

Microsoft didn't make the GameCube.
That's a playstation controller. Made by Sony.
Too =/= two.
