baby steps right.. he said IF Canada becomes the 51st state not WHEN. he is mellowing in his diaper full of shit mind degrading days.
3 months seems improbable ... Id say a week after an election is called, platforms need to be releasedTell me if this is a bad idea: I think every political candidate running for leadership of a country should, by law, have to share their full platform at least three months before election day. That platform should then automatically become binding law the moment they take office. This way, we would be voting for an actual, concrete set of policies, not just vague promises that candidates can later walk back or abandon. It would also test a potential leader’s true commitment to the direction they claim to believe in. I think minor adjustments could be allowed if the global landscape shifts dramatically, but overall they should be legally bound to follow through on what they campaigned on. Is this crazy or just stupid? I am getting so tried of politicians.

lil PP was campaigning saying there would be 10% tax cuts first year of their governance ... advance voting closes ... and the day after Cons release their platform and it mentions a 2.5% tax cut in year 4 of their mandate .... fuckin Cons!
Trump administration says deporting US citizen children was due to a “parental decision”
The Trump administration defended its move to deport three children who are US citizens over the weekend, arguing Monday that the decision was made by the parents, who were being deported as undocumented immigrants.
“If you remain this country illegally, and you ignore a judge’s order about self-deporting, if you choose to have a US citizen child, knowing you’re in this country illegally, you put yourself in that position. You put your family in that position,” White House border czar Tom Homan told CNN’s Priscilla Alvarez during a White House press briefing this morning.
He said the administration removed the children because their mothers, who are undocumented immigrants, “requested” that their children stay with them rather than remain in the country.
“This is a parental decision. … Parenting 101, the mothers made that choice,” Homan said.
He said that if the children had stayed in the US, the administration would have been attacked for separating families.
“No — we’re keeping families together. So when a parent says, I want my two-year-old baby to go with me, we made that happen. They weren’t deported. We don’t deport US citizens. The parents made that decision, not the United States government,” Homan said.

A trade deficit is not necessarily a bad thing, all it means is that you have the money to buy more things from a country and that you are not selling the same amount of goods to that country in return. Also, when you have 9 times the population of Canada, it makes a ton of sense that there would be a trade deficit.
Yes, the obvious component of this is that the wealthiest country in the world is going to buy more things. In doing so, that country can't also make all the things that it buys. And any economist would tell you that some external trade is healthy due to timing, efficiency, costs, etc. If you and another country both create 100 million gallons of oil and both need 100 million gallons of oil, some trade is going to be healthy for all involved regardless. Trump does not understand this, because he doesn't understand how tariffs even work, much less basics of macroeconomics.
The fact is goods in America have been incredibly, incredibly cheap for a long time. This is a huge benefit to all Americans, but especially those in the working/middle class. And Americans are not putting that benefit into their savings, but overspending. And the government is not solving cost issues related to healthcare, housing, and education, they are encouraging class warfare through cultural issues that have little applicability or importance to their lives, but which algorithms tell us get clicks.
TLDR - Our leaders suck, we're dumb, and social media is making everything worse.
The gallows?
I certainly do think any candidate who changes their core principals/platform after they are elected should be able to be removed/recalled and not have to wait the 2-4-6 years to be removed by the next election.Tell me if this is a bad idea: I think every political candidate running for leadership of a country should, by law, have to share their full platform at least three months before election day. Not sure how that would work though.
