The attacks on drivers seem to be mostly people protected by the YCJA so, yeah probably Tiktok.

Five fired Memphis police officers have been charged with murder and other crimes in the killing of Tyre Nichols, a Black motorist who died three days after a confrontation with the officers during a traffic stop.

Pretty big that charges are filed. But that's not where these things usually fall apart. It's actually convicting them.

Side note - that video must be horrific if most people who have seen it all have the same reaction which is pretty much "Uhh, don't riot, please. We know you're going to really want to, but....".

When I posted that video yesterday I was like, yeah it is bad very bad due to what the Chief stated.

And I heard her today state they reviewed all videos of the surrounding CCTV from the interstates and businesses and could not find any justification for the officers to even pull over Tyre in the first place.


Then it got me wondering why was a police department so quick to fire and charge the police officers vs the normal putting them on administrative leave......I thought first maybe, just maybe, this Chief is all for police reform which she probably is for.
But then it hit me, here are the officers involved:

Yep if these were white officers they would have been kept on the force and left on admin leave for about 6 months. Then quietly put back in active duty when all is forgotten.
