So there was no third man, the hammer wasn’t in the house to begin with and Pelosi escaped from the assailant to make the 911 call. Was the three day wait for this not worth the urge for every media organization to speculate and allow conspiracies to form from the onset?

Processing a crime scene, interviewing witnesses and suspects and getting a victim impact statement (particularly when the victim needs brain surgery) all take time. It's not like the FBI was watching old episodes of Ren and Stimpy. There's a process and if you want it to stand up in court, you follow it to the letter. Especially when the crime in question is quite possibly the conspiracy to assassinate the third in line to the presidency. You don't want to be the guy who fucks that one up.

Besides, the crime could have been live streamed (like so many mass shootings were) and within an hour the false narrative and conspiracy shit would have been developed. Literally nothing could get in front of that so why rush and try?
