Because if you want me to believe there’s a difference between the two sides I’d like to see it in action.

Well, back in 2000, Al Gore and the Dems moved on from the federal election results even though there was considerable evidence of shady things going on in Florida. We're one week short of two years since the 2020 federal election and the majority of Republicans have yet to move on from those results even though their candidate lost by 7 million votes.

That's one big difference if you ask me.

Hillary Clinton is still whining about 2016 as are others in the party. She’s said on numerous occasions the election was stolen from her because of Russian interference.

Trump takes it to an extreme but whining about election results isn’t new, isn’t rare and isn’t limited to one side.

I must have missed it when Democratic supporters stormed the Capitol in an attempted coup.

Also BBB, can you let me know what Republican policies are out there to improve the lives of everyday Americans? Say what you want about the Green New Deal, Obamacare, and student loan forgiveness, but at least Democrats are trying to put things in motion to try to make things easier for the American people.

I mean, overall I do agree with BBB, both parties are out to grab power. One has just been so much overtly blatant about it than the other.

I used to think both parties were different sides of the same coin. I can't even pretend to believe that now.

I don’t think what the Dems do is as bad as the Republicans but I do think they’re veering in that direction, which is how the Republicans eventually landed where they are (slow trickle from Reagan and the 90s bunch to VP nominee Sarah Palin & the Tea Party to Donald).

And the supporters are just as insane. This week Daniel Dale, he of the “I’m famous because I called out Trumps lies for 5 years” fame, fact checked Biden’s lie about gas prices. Please check out the replies in this thread from Democrats and left wingers:

Basically a shit ton of people who are upset that lies are getting called out. I’m sorry but as much as I despise what’s been going on on the other side of the coin that isn’t exactly the “other choice” I’m interested in, where because the other side lie we can too and it’s ok because we’re good and they’re bad. I don’t think that leads us anywhere good.

Both sides are bad. The harsh reality is that there's no other choice than to pick the side that isn't worse.

Well let me tell you something brother, 100 years ago I broke bread with Ted DiBiase and he looked me straight in the eye and said if that kid could have dribbled the ball 20 times, he would have gotten the $100.

But I digress.

I can't think of any national democrat that I really like. And I do feel the last 2 elections the party has pushed candidates on the voters instead of completely letting the primary process work (they probably always do, but it felt pretty obvious).

But I don't see them embracing/ignoring bigotry, anti-gay, and antisemitism as much as the Republicans.
I don't feel they are pushing a theocracy as much as the Republicans.
I'm sure the democrats would like a plutocracy as much as the Republicans, but they are not as obvious about it.
I don't think the democrats embrace misinformation/conspiracy theories (thanks Newt!)as much as the Republicans.

There's just no comparison to me right now. I early voted today (1st of 9 times I plan to)and just voted all blue. Never used to do that, I just can't voted for a republican right now.

Things like this make the decision easier:
