Here is a whole thread on the incident in France. Yeah this isn’t going well for the Police.

Attempting to profit from lies and deceit, it doesn't get much lower than that.

I read the whole thread (and regrettably, the comments) and I picked up a small nuance between France and the US in these cases. See if you can spot it.

This and...
"Prosecutors have opened a homicide investigation."

I don't understand why America is making it so difficult for people to succeed (Canada isn't doing much better in that regard). You can't pull yourself up by the bootstraps when your boots are nailed down to the floor.

Boomer derangement. "I did it myself, so they should too"

Nevermind that a single income in 1960 without a degree was enough to buy a house and raise a family. Now 2 jobs is barely enough to not need food stamps.

My parents immigrated to Canada in 1961 along with two daughters and whatever else they could carry. My dad was the sole bread winner and three more kids were added to our clan (including me). We were barely on the cusp of middle class growing up, but I never felt like we were poor either (just didn't have many luxuries). No chance in hell you could pull that off today.

that, plus French people just like to burn shit down
It's almost entirely this. There's protests during the day where they aren't smashing the windows of Carrefour's and stealing the baguette machine. It's assholes at night who are just using this as an excuse to fuck around.

The French in a nutshell. :D

They drink their wine in a cafe while someone starts a barn fire in the streets.

EDIT: And in 'Merica..

Need to be "all white", go to a winery and pretend to be something better than we really are.
