Seeing everyone post their pronouns all over Twitter, and I am considering giving mine the name "Clay Davis" so I can say my pronouns are Shee/it.

In addition to the below lol most of the Bolt's components are made in South Korea with final assembly at Orion. This was the deal the UAW made with GM for them to continue assembling at Orion when they wanted to shift all compact vehicle assembly to Mexico and South Korea:

"Under the new agreement with the UAW, GM used domestic laborers earning less than under previous contracts and slimmed down labor rules to make assembling subcompact vehicles in the US economically competitive. For younger workers, wages were cut in half from the standard $28/hour. For the first time, parts supplier employees worked alongside of GM workers on the assembly line. They made as little as $10/hour."

Just a friendly reminder that no matter how pro-union you are the UAW is the absolute fucking worst union to ever exist.

So he purchased the throw away version of an EV. Hint, never buy a Chevy.

From what I can tell unless you’re buying the high end S the Tesla’s are rather shittily built these days too.

The only green answer is VW Diesel.
I found the best built ones are the ford f150 since it is the same body/frame, the Ford e-Mach and the Kia/Hyundai’s. Any others not so much.

^And I am not saying these are great cars, just the best of the bunch.

As for the most disappointing in the EV market has to be Mazda. They made some great cars with the Mazda 3 (I can confirm I have a 2010 that runs like new) but they just didn't care about the EV.

Genesis I was hoping for more, but I am yet to see the hype.

As someone who drives a Tesla myself, I really want to believe this is an elaborate ruse where Musk is pretending to be a jackass to get the MAGA idiots to suddenly want to buy a Tesla - thereby helping the planet - just to own the libtards.

Alas, I don't think it's that clever.

Guess he is trying to say all the people that believed in COVID and taking precautions were part of a cult?

The part I don't get is that the US federal government basically did nothing as far as COVID was concerned during the Trump administration whereas the US government was fully involved with the Branch Davidians siege in Waco.

Either way, when you have to explain a joke (which is often the case with Elon), it's not a joke nor funny.

He probably wants to tank Tesla’s stock to buy back shares at a lower price.

Honestly, I truly think he is some modern Andy Kaufman but sucks so bad at it.

I remember hearing the term Branch COVIDians at the height of the misinformation, drink bleach, shine a light up your ass period of time to describe people who were willing to die for their cult leader (who was an idiot) rather than put on a mask. See also: Herman Cain award recipients

Elon probably thinks he invented the term

There was these people, who were fucked, and there are the people who today still sound the alarm and want us to go full China like it's April 2020.

The thing is their voices are so low compared to how loud the nutjobs were two years ago that I'm not quite understanding why he's spending so much time on this.

Everyone needs to stop giving him attention.

I really thought that the pandemic would bring a new way of looking at healthcare in this country, in figuring out what we can do better to expand our capacity, our quality, our ability to take care of everyone no matter what so that the system can be world-class once again rather than “well, at least it’s better than the American one”.

Three years later and hospitals are still underfunded, provinces and the feds are playing political games, everybody working in the industry fucking hates it and we can’t handle a moderately higher respiratory illness season.

You all fucking suck.

Yeah, but you can still say "well, at least it's better than the American one", so there's that.
