Literally the first argument against giving people relief from loans they needed was "how is this fair to people who paid their loans off" while many of the people saying that didn't pay off loans they didn't need. If you can't see the difference between calling out the hypocrisy and "whataboutism" then I can't help you.
Where does it end Diane?

when do we finally put an end to "whataboutism?"

And yes, I am beyond help...and I'm OK with that!:noidea:

I mean it's not funny, but it is...

If you believe this is actually happening you are smart enough to live in her district.

There is no fucking way that local and federal law enforcement are not aware of the residence of a sitting member of congress and would sent a SWAT team to it twice in 2 days.

That orangutan is making it up for attention.

Pay as you go is how I did it...loved every minute of it. I have a phone plan like that from handsome Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds' Mint Mobile. I like it too.

I paid as I went and came out of university with no loans outstanding ... mind you that was 20 years ago ... I question whether I could have managed to do that now with the way tuitions have increased along with housing/rent and with the incomes from part time jobs not even close to keeping pace ... different times ... a lot of us won the lottery when it comes to when we born ... too bad many dont realize it :noidea: its apples to oranges for me.

By the language in this it seems that they are aware but they still have to check up on it.

I don't know where it ends but that starts with understanding the difference between:

"People are getting federal loan relief? That's socialism and people should pay their debt"
"Here is evidence you didn't"

And

"The last President stole classified documents"
"DON'T YOU CARE ABOUT THE ULGYUR MUSLIMS IN CHINA?

exactly the same.
my parents gave me $1,000 to get started, and I was able to live at home for free while going to school.
tuition, books, everything else came out of a ~30 hour per week job
came out debt free, and bought my first apartment probably within 5 years of graduating.

about to see the other side of that now with my kid going off to out-of-province university, so NOW my student loans begin.
Once the RESP are used up, it's into the line of credit.

Not to defend that nutjob but I do think the intent and the information provided police definitely qualifies this as swatting and if she had been at her side piece's double-wide instead of her listed address (which the police had already been to this week) it could've been as dangerous as any other swatting incident is.

And this opens a box where a swatting incident on a politician could become incredibly fucking dangerous - what happens when a right winger decides this is a fun idea to pull on, say, Hakeem Jeffries or Anthony Brown?

I made it out relatively debt free, though in retrospect I probably should have gone into debt and gone further than I did. I'd probably be in a better position now. Two of us were able to work barely above minimum wage jobs and were able to live in and apartment and feed ourselves. Yep, no longer possible.

Also maybe I (and she) are remembering incorrectly but in the 90s she did have student loans and it seemed like every 6 months someone else took them over and each time her terms, rates, and amount due changed. That does not sound likely but I do remember her reaching out to different groups to complain/seek help. I was probably watching The X Files trying to ignore her.

That last paragraph is the key in that you have the financial resources to help out your daughter (as I have had to help out mine (those RESPs sure came in handy). I like you was able to live at home (for my first two years at least) and finished my final two years at the University of Calgary and my dad wasn't in the financial position to help me out. Fortunately, I only needed about $6500 in student loans to finish. Times sure have changed.

Mrs 43's parents are terrible with money. Like bought a house in 1964 for 20 grand and currently owe 135k on it bad. So she took on the full amount of her loans for college. And it took until ten years into our marriage to pay them off. And that was at 1989 costs. I don't want to throw that kind of boat anchor around my kids' necks if I can help it, but there is no other choice.

And the primary reason we didn't have savings to help is because of the 9 straight years hitting our 10 grand out of pocket maximum on health care. If I didn't have health care costs, my kids wouldn't need loans for college. Or I might have a vacation house. Simple as that.

no direct financial help from my parents (but free rent meant a whole lot lol) ... I had about $2500 in passport to education money from the bc govt and i think that came close to paying my first years tuition at sfu (or was that first semester lol)

will be 3 years until post secondary for my son and I *say* Im going to follow the same path with only providing the free rent but Im probably out to lunch on this one ... He can referee hockey games and lifeguard and we will see where that takes him

Yeah this whole thing is very dangerous and stupid. As much as I hate that pond scum POS whoever is behind this needs to arrested.

What makes it even worse is she going to use this as a deflection and playing the victim card.
Even worse she is too stupid to realize is what you said above (bolded). It will happen because US political crap is more about revenge vs doing what is right. And when it happens it will have dire consequences.

With all that said I would not be shocked if she is behind this 100% just to play the victim as a way to grift more.

I thought this as well. She is sick enough to do that
