I swear people just need something to be pissed about instead of directing that anger towards corporate greed

I don't want to sound like I'm defending oil companies but, if you're an oil company, and you've spent the last 5 years or whatever listening to every western government mandate that your product will no longer be legal to use in new vehicles in 10-20 years, why exactly are you doing anything other than gouging right now while you still can? Why are you pumping more to bring down prices when you have absolutely no reason to?

I don't want to sound like I'm defending oil companies but, if you're an oil company, and you've spent the last 5 years or whatever listening to every western government mandate that your product will no longer be legal to use in new vehicles in 10-20 years, why exactly are you doing anything other than gouging right now while you still can? You would think re-investment into modernization or future thinking would be beneficial but 99.9% of the Oil Execs/shareholders will all be dead or retired in 10-20 years. So they don't care, essentially the same mentality any US politician takes are they get a bit of money from any said industry.

I mean, we have National Indigenous Peoples Day which I fully support and yes we did some terrible things to indigenous people for the majority of the 19th and 20th centuries and reconciliation needs to continue, but it shouldn't take away from recognizing that Canada is still a pretty good country.

Im more concerned about what the convoy goofs and cons of their ilk are doing perception wise to the flag and what this coming Canada Day will look like with these fuckfaces at all the celebrations

We went from "The world needs more Canada" to "don't say Canada" pretty quick.

I think wrongs need to be righted but the entire shift towards a sort of "de-Nazification" so to speak of our history, accomplishments and culture is getting kind of fucked up.

I had to tell my parents (in their 80's), that maybe they should take down their Canada car flags for a little bit.
They had been flying those fuckers for years.

I would like to do the math on how much the additional wind resistance has cost them in fuel over time. lol
