I can’t help but feel like the posts about “dems, amirite?” are in jest at people like me (because they are). We’ve set the bar super low if you just need to be better than Trump, sorry. Hillary, Biden, and Kamala are subpar candidates. At least Obama excited the voters and ran on a solid platform.

tangent but Im a big fan of comedy/comedians. Much of the stuff out there today I lump in together is just crass mediocre unfunny trash that falls flat. Ive seen snippets of Kill Tony. Its meh to me. Shane Gillis has some good material but I dont think Im alone in sensing the subtext of genuine mysogny/racism. That Bobby Lee/Andrew Santino pod only grabs my attention for Bobbys filipina "cousin". (Those last 2 sentences kinda clash lol)

That all being said Ive come to appreciate Jesselnik for his completely over the top fucked up material ... I think hes's better than all of the above mentioned that fall into the category I call "todays Dane Cooks"

I don't mind some fucked up shit in my comedy either. Satire is a totally healthy way of dealing with some of the darker corners of modern life. But when when your "edgy" material has a steady theme of shitting on groups of people, usually marginalized groups, you left satire way behind and have just become a propagandizing piece of shit.

Oh like you and @Comeds stated. I am a fan of comedy and comedians in general. Jeselnik I like a lot as he figured a way to make it edgy and not come across as bullying.

As for Shane Gillis that is spot on and the rest of them, like Theo Von, who Jeselnik was talking to, all fall into that wanna be Joe Rogan type to hopefully catch that core audience and money.
