I think it’s not so much Fox News and conservative media and more people just associating poor economic conditions with a bad economy.

Nobody really cares if GDP is growing if you have to pick up a second job to afford rent and groceries because their wages still haven’t caught up with prices.

If a majority of people don’t feel secure economically your economy isn’t doing well.

I gotta agree with BBB here, while the US (and I think I can include Canada as well) might not be technically in a recession, the economy has not been great over the last 12-18 months. If the major corporations could trim their cost of their services a smidge and maybe stomach a little less in profits, that would be great.

That's funny! Never gonna happen. Corporate greed running rampant. Consumers too stupid to recognize it, for the most part.

if trump gets in power again... what does that mean

1 - the majority of americans are too stupid to see what this is
2 - the majority of americans actually want this america

it is mind blowing that he even has any popularity among the dumbest of the dumb that remotely believe in america and its history of fighting tyrants.
It doesn't take much to make people disillusioned with an incumbent, plug their noses at the stink coming off a bad alternative and vote for them. Canada's a pretty good example re: Polievre, who is at best a poor man's Stephen Harper but is saying the right things at the right time while his opponent steps on garden rake after garden rake.

This almost entirely boils down to Biden being a bad candidate in 2024. Everybody knows it, he likely knows it too, and yet in this "most important election ever" he's just rolling with it out of an incredibly selfish determination to go down with the ship.

My original hope when the set the June debate was that Biden would show very clearly just how out of it he is at this point, would step down afterward and we'd get a brokered convention nominee but the whole Gaza issue and the number of nutcases growing in popularity based on this one subject within the Democrat party leaves me thinking they're kinda screwed no matter what they do here.

Representative Jasmine Crockett is doubling down on her viral jab against far-right Representative Marjorie Taylor-Greene by beating the firebrand at her own game: Crockett filed a trademark on the phrase “bleach blonde bad-built butch body” and is producing a “Crockett Clapback Collection” featuring phrases the freshman lawmaker has said.

Crockett, a representative from Texas, posted a mockup of a shirt featuring the phrase “bleach blonde bad-built butch body,” which Crockett refers to as “B6” for its alliteration. On announcing the line of swag—which trademark filings note will include hats, hoodies, socks, and T-shirts—Crockett says proceeds “will go to ensuring that we have a Democratic House!”

Perception is reality. It doesn't matter the situation, and this is just another scenario.

"Sure, he's unhinged and a criminal and completely unqualified to be President and would deport my entire family if he knew my real name and would prevent me and everyone like me from getting needed healthcare but he's better than that guy who wants people to be educated, AMIRITE? "

Mrs Alito at it again. I really can't wait for absolutely nothing to come of this.
