New season was incredible. This show is severely under rated. As a non Karate Kid fan boy (I did watch the movies but not as into it as many), this show is sensational.

Fantastic character development and characters that you genuinely care about.

I think it has been pretty universally well received. Not sure it qualifies as “underrated”...

Maybe not, I just feel like so many other shows are talked about a ton while this one doesn’t get as much recognition. Just my perception, so maybe I’m just ignorant.

I think the trick is it’s a YouTube original....and who thinks about those yet?

I checked it out last year for a nostalgic little journey. Not expecting anymore. Especially from William Zabka. Holy shit was I surprised.

Honestly expected a let down from season 2.... but these folks have the right formula.

The 80s were so black and white....I love the nuance and grey they put in here.

S1 was excellent.

Lots of good homages to the movies.

Even the end with the tournament was very similar to the movies.

It also made me wonder about how the movie could've been different...

I'm excited to binge watch S2 and 3 this month.

I would rather have it go by "too fast" rather than drag on for 3-5 episodes too long like some of the marvel shows.

I think my favorite scene in S1 is Daniel and Johnny at the bar, realizing how similar they actually were. They were one miscommunication (from neither of them) from ending the show after 1 season...basically.

Just wow....that’s what I’ll say for season 2 for now.

This show can be a little cheesy at points. As much as I love the nostalgic callbacks they can do a lot of them.

Mr Miyagi would love this show. It has perfect balance. Balance between the older and younger characters. Balance between character development and action. Balance in showing both the Miyagi-do and Cobra Kai sides.

This show is not black and white, but wonderfully grey. It treats both sides very fairly, for good and bad. When I ran into this show last year I expected a campy throwback and some nostalgia. I certainly didn’t expect this, especially from a YouTube Original. Straight up....William Zabka is god damn amazing in this show!

It’s going to be a long wait for season 3.

There....a totally spoiler free review. I’m interested in what others think after watching the whole season.

Yeah it’s nice and just enough to make it work.

But might be too many Easter eggs with the Japan rumors for S3.

love how the bad guy got what he deserved at the end of the season. While building up an even bigger one for S3

I think that overall, I liked season one better but I think the finale episode was probably the best in the series. It definitely has me pumped for season three (which I'd be shocked if there wasn't one). One thing I was surprised at was that there was no Mike Barnes when I had heard that he was supposed to be in season two.

I thought that it was definitely further teasing that these two could become friends but circumstances around them always seems to prevent that. I also liked the episode in season two where it was Johnny and his friends get together one last time since Tommy was dying.
