Yes Maclin will now get 9-10 mill a year now.I am worried Maclin is gone from Philly if people are offering that kind of coin for #2 wideouts.
The fact that GB had to pay $10 million a year, even though it was getting a bit of a hometown discount, suggests he could have gotten $11 or more elsewhere.
If it weren't for my team's garbage 2015 cap situation, I'd be all in on the sign Maclin train right now.I am worried Maclin is gone from Philly if people are offering that kind of coin for #2 wideouts.

They will meet in the middle.Per the Eagles SBN affiliate (for whatever that's worth) Maclin wants 11M, Eagles are offering 9M.
I don't know, there are plenty of teams who'd gladly give Maclin 11M or more I think. They will meet in the middle.
maybe but wow leave that type of offense.I don't know, there are plenty of teams who'd gladly give Maclin 11M or more I think.
The same offense that was 13th in points per drive? I am not too enamored with Chip Kelly's system, but maybe that's just me.maybe but wow leave that type of offense.
I don't think they over paid. They needed Cobb back. I don't mind the deal. Good job by GB.Let's get something straight, Green Bay did not overpay at $10m per year. Call him a slot receiver or #2 or whatever, but the real facts are there were other teams willing to pay 20% more per year for him. Overpaid my ass, they got a deal for a play-maker and the rest is just noise.
I think it is all about money for most young players like Cobb. They want that first big payday. Can't blame them for that as players could be one hit away from a career ending injury. Nice to see a player take a hometown discount.
