Who do you see taking jobs, and who do you see/want replacing those who leave?

Open Jobs:
Bears
Pats
Jags
Jets
Raiders
Saints

Top Candidates:
Ben Johnson
Mike Vrabel
Aaron Glenn
Matt Nagy
Brian Flores

Candidates who could sneak in to a job:
Josh McCown
Ron Rivera
Arthur Smith
Drew Petzing
Pete Carroll
Robert Saleh

College coaches who will likely get calls:
Kirby Smart
Ryan Day
Matt Campbell
Lincoln Riley
Deion Sanders

Feel free to add to this list...I'm sure I'm missing more than a few names.

As a Lion's fan, I wouldn't mind seeing Robert Saleh come back to Michigan and become the DC for the Lions if Glenn takes a job elsewhere. Unfortunately, I just don't see how we replace Johnson though. The Lions were fortunate to get another season out of him this year.

I saw something the other day linking Johnson with the Jags.
Dont have a clue if there was any weight to that, but food for thought.
Does anyone know if maybe he likes Lawrence?
Saints, Raiders, Jets have no body at QB.
Think Johnson might do what Harbaugh did.
Go where he likes the QB long term. I think the coaching hires get clogged up until Johnson decides. Then the dominos start falling.
I exclude Vrabel who I believe we all think he goes to the Pats.

I would think the Jags job would be much more attractive to Johnson than any of the other jobs, although it all depends on if he thinks Trevor Lawrence still has the ability to live up to his hype.

agree and thought maybe that could make the Bears his choice...of course IF he likes Williams (but feel that's the best chance of one he likes).

That's my thought. Head coaches longevity is now based on the QB. Unless a team has a top 3 draft pick AND there are a few top rated QB's coming out of college, I'm not sure why a guy that every team wants as their next head coach would choose a team that doesn't yet have their franchise QB at a fairly young age.

The Jags GM is relatively notorious and I figure that knocks Johnson out of that race

My logic with Johnson is that Carr and maybe Rattler can both run his system. Saints picked a high end OT prospect last year imo. Olave seems like a long-term bonus. Kamara a short term bonus. The issue with the Saints is that they dont have great depth or money.

Bears I think are the first domino. I think thats the most desirable job. I think that goes to one of the Lions coaches.

I realize you can't pass up opportunities to land a HC spot - but some of those jobs are just....WOOF - they've chewed up coaches...and the structure hasn't changed, so I wouldn't plan on being a HC in some of those places for more than 2 years...maybe just 1 (Looking at you NE).

why not so sure Vrabel goes there even though seems most obvious for him.

Obviously Vrabel is going to NE, but if he wasnt. I would think NE would be one of the most desirable places to go for a competent HC.
They have their future QB in place (on a rookie contract) They have plenty of money to spend to quickly change the dynamic of the team. Only flaw is if you dont have any belief in the GM to get you what you need. Which would be a valid argument.
But the key parts you can see are there. QB, money to make improvements. They draft a top OL with their top 5 pick & start game planning. (use some of that money on FA help for Maye)

I feel like the Jets and Raiders jobs are a whole tier worse than the rest but maybe thats me.

I'm not sure I'm sold on their QB - but I'll be fair enough to say I haven't watched a ton. From what I have seen, he looks fine, but not sure he's a "franchise" QB...but again - limited viewing and I don't follow NE.

Personally - and again I know you can't pass up jobs like this - but I'd have a really tough time working for any place that hired a HC and then fired them after just 1 season UNLESS there are extenuating circumstances (I think Meyer in Jax is one of those).

Why would Rex Ryan get an interview, leave it to the Jets as the only team that would consider him.
