I have to say that I didn't expect the Jets job to get filled before the Saints and Cowboys.

We need to see what Jerry does next. Waiting for Kellen Moore?

Good teams lose assistant coaches constantly. That's not new, just new for the Lions. When the cornerstone HC and GM of good teams remain in place, they just reload and keep being good.

The Lions will have their pick of the litter for both coordinators. When coaches from your team get hired up, that's where coaches want to go.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but it’s a lot more challenging when the head coach isn’t a play caller. If Andy Reid were to lose his coordinators (hypothetical), Reid would really only need to replace a defensive play caller. Since Campbell isn’t a play caller, he has to replace two. And they will most likely be outside hires with different game plans.

I don’t think the lions are going straight to the gutter again, but I expect this past season will be their best season for a long time.

Schotty seems like the status quo, "bridge guy" pick. The guy you hire if you want to play out the string with Dak and rebuild. The guy you hire knowing you will fire him in two years.

Maybe that's realistically where the Cowboys are at to be honest. They can try to saddle up with Dak for another season or two, get a running back and another defensive lineman in the draft, and see if they can catch lightning in a bottle. But they are likely stuck with the current nucleus of players due to their cap situation.

Dallas will have to make a very tough call soon on whether to pay Parsons or perhaps trade him for picks to rebuild. It may sound unthinkable to fans right now but I suspect he will not re-sign with the Cowboys because things there are deteriorating, so they may deal him and start over IMO.

Does anybody else get a Robert Saleh 2.0 vibe from the Jets hire?

It's the Jets, you can count on them to underachieve. The Jets are an older distinguished gentleman still dating high value young afternoon strippers that are less attractive than any waitresses. And they have to settle for spit handjob rather than going all the way.

The Browns are the Monday afternoon stripper look good in the dark from afar, but closer you get the more scars you see but still attractive enough to tease their fans with no champagne room visit. Browns fans are the simps for the stripper.

Welp Browns fans going to hate me again. Nobody cracks jokes on the Browns. I can not and will not change.

I feel bad for them, but Watson getting hurt again may be a blessing in disguise and a light at the end of the tunnel for that franchise.

Then again, with Jimmy Haslam, they badly fail my "owner theory" test of which franchises have a realistic chance to compete. They like the Jets and a few others have no realistic chance until they get a new owner.
