Lynn turned out fine. Looks to me we are standing in the middle of the road. Not rebuilding just piece milling to finishing the season. July may change every thing. I do not see how we can go forward with DDJ Odor Cabrera and Mathis and say we are rebuilding.

There wasn't a viable internal alternative at 3B, CF or catcher... 2B... not the case

Cabrera is essentially what we asked him to be, DDJ was a disappointment and was essentially displaced by Gallo which wasn't ideal, we literally have ZERO viable catching prospects anywhere close to ready,

How much longer until the Rangers start making moves that can help this team now and next year? Option Odor to Nashville, let Santana and Forsythe play 2B. Drop Smyly and Miller. No way Samardzija costs much (except his contract) and he can possibly be a 3 or 4 guy next season as well. Bring the openers back for Sampson and Jurado (it worked before). See what Diekman, Bradley, DeSclafani, Gsellman, Seth Lugo cost. They can also look at their AAA dudes: Carpenter, Maness, Fields, Petricka. The BP hasn’t been bad but they need to fill spots for Smyly and Miller. I don’t want them to mess with the future which is why I think they can make moves to help compete for postseason now and benefit next year.

I think they have to take a step back and realize Odor isn’t gonna fix stuff up here, it’s gotta be in Nashville. Condor and Maz might need to go with Odor. I just hope they trade Maz in the offseason or at deadline, he might benefit from a change of scenery. Gallo needs to be in RF for good when he returns.
