They used it as a scapegoat from the topic at hand and, while it was a good moment to show CNN's hypocrisy, it did give them an out instead of talking the reason Clay was there imo.

I don't even like Clay Travis, but I now want to stand outside CNN with signs that say "Boobs" on them.

What he said was tacky, but he didn't make it the spotlight, they did. He said it, and then talked about the topic. They kept going back to it.

Admittedly I didn't watch the CNN interview (don't really care that much about this) so if they made a bigger deal out of this I'll take your word for it.

The deadspin article was 100% self promotion though. I may be off base but it looked like he created controversy for the sake of controversy and used that to profit.

He was asked a question or something, and he said the only things he believes in are the 1st amendment and boobs. Something like that.

Then he just answered the question normally. It was actually a long and detailed answer. But after he got done talking, they kept taking it back to the boobs part.

I don't watch ESPN shows, I don't follow Clay Travis and I don't watch CNN(or any 24/7 news place) so I don't have a fucking clue about the topic. I don't even know who they are talking about to be honest, other than she said something about Trump.

I didn't agree with him that ESPN is losing all those subscribers because of politics. They could have mentioned how ESPN is losing subscriptions because of bundles as people cord cut, but instead - boobs.

And Clay Travis is all about self promotion, so he'll milk the shit out of this.
