No headlining piece, but you get potentially get four solid young players for one. And if you’re not sold on Kuminga being your guy for the future, this would help replenish your team’s depth in the event you stand to lose Draymond and DDV for luxury tax purposes.

I think Nesmith is a nice player. I haven't seen a ton of Jackson though.

But overall the answer would likely be no. Any trade the Warriors would be looking to put Kuminga in would be a quality over quantity trade. Add to that their frustration boiled over with the young guys this year and you'd be trading for 4 more of them.

If the Warriors move Poole or Kuminga or both, it will have to be a high impact player coming back instead of spread out depth.

That one was strictly mine... The other proposal I've seen was 7 for Kuminga and 19. I'd have done that had the Pacers not stocked up on late firsts/early seconds.

We're going to have to cut a lot of guys barring some serious revamping.

I have the pacers trading their 2 firsts in the 20s into the lakers pick at 17.

I wouldn't do the Kuminga deal. That's too far to fall down.

Wouldn't mind it but how much of a fall would that be for the Lakers? There's now even extensive talk of letting DLo walk in spite the fact they gave up their 2027 pick for him...

They should have learned from their 2021 experience that adding multiple 30-something retreads only get them so far. The need an infusion of youth (i.e. keeping #17).

They currently have 4 players under contract.

They need some cheaper bodies in there.

lol

Why do you post when you have no clue what you're talking about?

The Lakers got an infusion of youth at the trade deadline...

Vando is 24
Rui is 25
D-Lo is 27
Beasley is 26
Bamba is 25

Also...

Reaves is 25
Walker IV is 24
Brown Jr. is 23
Gabriel is 26
Schroder is 29

Hell, AD is only 30.

Outside of Lebron, they are a young team. Many of those players aren't even in their prime yet.

Also, the trade that @The Q mentioned was trading the #17 pick for 2 picks in the 20's. Which would make them even younger.

Most of those guys are FAs or going to be FAs

True. Although, several of them will be brought back. So, even if they were to bring in a couple of older FA's, they will still be a fairly young team.

Also, Beasley is a team option, Rui is restricted and they have Bird right, Reaves is restricted and they have early Bird rights and they have Bird rights on D-Lo.

It's going to be interesting for them. Some of those guys earned themselves pretty good size raises. So there's no way they can bring everyone back.

I'm interested to see who they prioritize.

Yeah Vando is under contract for the coming season

Rui-RFA
Dlo- UFA
Beasley- Club option for 16 mil. Deadline in 2 weeks. Can't see the lakers extending that
Bama- Looks like he should be back
Reaves- RFA
Brown JR- UFA
Lonnie Walker- UFA
Dennis-UFA
Gabriel-UFA

Lakers roster will look much different next season. Time will tell if it is for the better

I would bring Beasley back but not for 16 mil

He is useful during the marathon that is the 82 game season. 3 pt specialist who is best as a 10th or 11th guy who can fill in when injuries happen

Yeah, I'd like to see him come back on a smaller contract. I don't think he really got a chance to get going. He's a career 38% from 3, but only hit 35% with the Lakers and dropped to 27% in the playoffs.

Basically, he hit a slump and the Lakers couldn't afford to let him shoot himself out of it.

I think a full training camp and being with them all season would help him.

If I were the lakers I’d be using 2029 and 17 this year plus Bamba and Beasley to make a big trade

If you want to trade us 17 for 26 and 29... Don't wait, be my absolute guest.

Probably even gives us an even better package to offer for Kuminga.

Does Kuminga really move the needle enough to get from 19 to 7?

Rui and Reaves are locks. DLo doesn't seem to have much of a market, so that could come down to he and the Lakers finding a lower pay level that works for both (maybe 18-20M per?). Bamba could be similar, back but at less than 10.3m, although he could be a piece in a draft day trade for salary purposes. Given the thin center market, I would like to see him back though.

Beasley is in a tough spot, given that the Lakers' targets in the draft seem to be floor spacing shooters like Hawkins and Christie is likely to expand his role next season. Again, another candidate to come back for less, if at all, or could be matching salary in a trade.

Dennis will depend on his market. If the Lakers can get him for the bi-annual exception, he could be back. I expect he'll get bigger offers and move on. I think Walker gets squeezed out by both diminishing role (rookie, Christie) and maintaining space under the 2nd apron. Brown Jr and Gabriel would have to remain in the vet min range to come back, and the team may need to diversify instead for those roster spots.

Brad Stevens is talking to the Pelicans about Zion Williamson.

C's don't have a 2023 first round pick so this might be players and 2024 first rounder

Williamson salary will be $33.7M.

Marcus Smart and Robert Williams would be a combined $28.5M.

According to the Athletic, Stevens has been one of the busiest guys looking to deal since the Celtics' season ended.
