Fun boxscore to look at, only bad pitching line Petit, lots of hits, Posey and Morse beasting, etc.

And the Home Run Giants score 11 with no HRs

Petit was not absolutely terrible (though close). His pitching line is made worse in that Dunning allowed all three of his inherited runners to score, two on wild pitches.

Like I said earlier, Dunning did OK last year when he started innings, but was awful when coming in with runners on base. He allowed 11 of 25 inherited runners to score (44%). When coming in to start an inning, he allowed only three runs to score (15 innings).

Better to stop the bleeding in that inning with one of the other bullpen members, and then start the next inning with Dunning.

NERDS ROCK N ' and Partying On ! WIN 11-10 in 13 innings

Five hours and 29 minutes of twists and turns finally ending in a victory 11-10 in 13 innings for the scrappy, energetic, never say die Giants. NERDS UNITE ! What a night !

The Giants ended up using 7 pitchers on the night. They had 20 hits including 11 in the first 4 spots in the order. Pagan , Pence, and Posey had 3 hits. Morse had two doubles and two RBI's. Hicks had two hits also. The player of the night had to be Hector Sanchez who had 4 hits, 3 RBI's and caught all 13 innings on a night when the staff threw 240 pitches. The Giants trailed at one point 8-2. They battled and battled all night . Giants now 4-0 on this Magical Mystery Tour.

Sanchez continues his development and his confidence rises along with the rest of the team every game they play. Giants bullpen was nails once again . This was a Rock N' good time all night as Machi bunts in a sac situation and forces a bad throw to first allowing Pence to score the go ahead run. Machi earned the win and Romo got yet another save. The scene in the dugout was off the hook as the Giants players rolled over the rail like they were in the 5th grade on Machi's bunt.

It was a big Cinco de Mayo party when it was over for the NERDS ! This is one of those games you put a star next to when evaluating the Giants TEAM at the end of the year. A game that makes Dreamers into Champions. Another game that goes up on my Memory tree. IT was a great,great,great,AWESOME game. Tremendous comeback by the Band of Nerdy Brothers. NERD POWER !!

Go Giants !! :nerd::nerd:

:suds::clap::hammer::party::rockon:

PARTY ON !

Where the heck has cal been lately?

I am still around. Just phased into lurk mode for a while. As for GDTs, I am still watching and listening, just not at the comp for the most part...

What a hell of a game, though. Am I the only one who was reminded of the Cincinnati game back in '10? I was almost rooting against us just to completely rebuild the exact situation.

We're back to scoring a ton runs. Me likey a lot. Hoping Belt can snap out of soon and join the party. And the pitching is coming through (except today) and the defense looks solid. Good pitching, defense and hitting sounds like a good formula to me.

I've got a feeling that Petit is pitching like cold poop warmed over.

Ain't about 'breaks'

Yeah, there's just no way you can come back from a deficit like that. Devastating.

:whistle:

tzill is going to have bad dreams tonight. Kind of like that old bugs bunny cartoon where the players continuously run around the bases and score and score.

Then again, the score over the last six innings has been 2-1. tzill might be loving this!

Clearly, the Pirates cannot recover from this; at least that's what it looks like from Mallorca.

Gutierrez pitched like crap.

Well, he had a bad day but kind of normal in the life of a reliever, they don't end the year with 0.00 ERAs.

Petit's line was really really crappy. Gutierrez' was just a kinda bad day.

I think that puppet is actually based on tzill. At least the facial expression is for sure.

I think I'd look like that, too, if I had someone's hand up my butt all the time.

Hey, TMI!

As I used to say to Marcus and his antiSemitic and homophobic rants: none of us are judging YOU...

You can roll over the scorecard and see who gives you thumbs up or down. Haters gonna hate.

I gave that idiot a thumbs down on the Ws board and now apparently he feels like doing that to all my posts. I'm absolutely heartbroken.
