To me it's more of a why do we need a week of media hype leading up to it the week before Christmas?
Why do you want some people to get all bent out of whack , wasting their emotions on that dick vs just enjoying the day with their family?

I'd rather have him come her when the Cavs are playing there 4 th in 5 night, having played in Orlando the night before.

I don't care since I have family which is more important than games, but it would be nice to see the Lakers not play so that I won't have to be trying to catch a few minutes here and there while cooking the turkey, mashed potatoes, country gravy and bisquits

Christmas is NBA day, just like Thanksgiving is NFL day. Why wouldn't they hype it up? Sometimes, people forget that Sports and networks are businesses. They need to make money too. The NBA will be a fool to not have Lebron not returning to Miami on Christmas Day.
