Thank GOD its like the Seattle seahawks management has been reading my comments here on SportsHoopla this can only further prove my genius. Before the season started I said this guy was overrated not a consistent back. released by the cowboys and redskins he was not destined to be anything more than an average back.

I can see NE resigning him to the ps at least. NE is short on DTs and Siliga knows the system.

What shocks me is how does he get released and Alex Collins continues to be on the squad? With Rawls back and Prosise emerging there wasn't much room, but my vote would be for Collins; he hasn't shown any value.

Typically you take the guy you feel you can develop.

Michael fixed his fumble issues and he was my pick to start in the Panthers/Hawks game last year, but he clearly has not developed the ability to hit the hole with much conviction. Prosise looked much more crisp out of the backfield and offers a legit receiving threat considering he played receiver in college.

I always liked Michael. I thought he was a Lynch 2.0 but was wrong. Prosise looks much more comfortable with this offense and with Rawls back there's no debate. I actually feel quite comfortable just letting Prosise be the #1 if Rawls doesn't return to form.

As for Collins, again you generally take the guy you can hopefully develop. Collins has been..... pathetic? Mediocre? Whatever, take your pick. It was an A+ pick from my end during the draft, but might be one of the times I'm wrong. Collins has been pretty terrible at this point. Hopefully he gets coached up.

I have all the confidence in the world in Prosise, and have to imagine that Collins is on a short leash. With Pope getting called up I like his chances of making waves in limited time. If he can do a fraction of what he did in the preseason I think we may have a three headed monster with Collins being the odd man out.

I thought it was an inevitability that he'd be picked up by the Packers once we released him. Packers need a solid running back in the worst possible way - and Michael was needing a team in need of a RB...just seemed to fit too nicely to not happen.

I'm sure the fact that we play GB in a couple weeks didn't hurt in GB's decision to pick up CM either. Teams looooove to get info from former team members of rival teams in the middle of a season. That wouldn't be GB's major motivation but it is kind of a bonus for them.
