The title of this thread is now correct once again. BB just cut Chris Harper. Hopefully, he will add a change of pace running back or a wide receiver to the 53 man roster. If he resigns Dewy McDonald again, I think I'll scream.

Yep, that muff was big. He had his shot... didn't make the most of it. Kinda looking for someone to supplant stone hands LaFell, to be honest. Yes his catch was big, but he dropped a bomb he came back for earlier in the game - hit him in the hands. He's way too inconsistent a pass catcher at this level.

... means Amendola will be back next week

BB doesn't call out players in public, but I have no doubt that Harper had instructions to fair catch the ball last night unless he got backed up inside the 10, in which case he was told to let it go. His failure to follow instructions was as big a reason for his current unemployment as was the muffed catch.

Do your job and you'll keep your job :thumb:

I start Harper as one of the cheap guy in my fantasy roster, along with LaFell. I figure that with the injury to everyone in NE they probably get many targets. Silly me.

Harper is worthless as a WR. As a returner, he shown his undecisiveness and looks slow, pick the wrong direction to run. I think is not that he muff the punt that Belichick axed him. It's the stupidity that get him the axed. He should have call for a fair catch when DEN defender running to him like that. I forgot to call for a fair catch, and to make matter worse, he extent his arm trying to make a difficult catch. DEN defenders mauled him and recover the muff punt. When he blew the fair catch, he should have letting the ball go, because if you don't call for fair catch, they can legally mauled you as you catching the football, you will drop or fumble the ball. There is couple of mind bogging things on that 1 play and get him the axed, plus his ineffectiveness on offense. That's basic 101 football. That's why he is no longer in a Belichick's team.

Racer, your closer to correct than most thought. Harper was told to "fair catch" or let it go. Only fair catch it if you don't have to move or can't move out of the way. Harper apparently didn't understand his specific instructions.

Keep hearing rumors that the Pats have picked up a veteran WR. Nothing on the news or the radio, nothing on any sports websites.

The rumor about Randy Moss is true. He did call BB last week and wants to "try out". He claims he's in the bext shape of his life.............football shape?

If Edelman and Amendola are both considered a go for the postseason (which it seems will be the case), I look for Harper to be waived and, possibly, BB bringing in Montee Ball for some depth at RB. With just Jackson, Bolden (used more on special teams), and White (primarily a receiver), the Pats need another solid runner.

well he might need to be brought in since White is gone for the post season, which sucks! I just hope the Patriots don't keep on trying to just run the ball during the play-offs.

Any update on all of the injured players?

Who is expected to play, who might not play the rest of the year?

Why is White out?

Patriot players that will be playing next Saturday.........Anyone not on IR.

Vollmer will be back at Left Tackle
Shaq Mason will be back at Right Guard
Tre Jackson will be back at Left Guard
Danny Amendola will be back at WR
Julian Edelman will be back at Slot Receiver
Rob Gronkowski will be back at Tight End

Steven Jackson will be the starting Running Back with Brandon Bolden in for relief RB. James White will be the 3rd down RB.

Oh yeah, Tom Brady will be the quarterback.

Kansas City..

An MRI revealed Maclin did not incur knee damage during the Chiefs' 30-0 victory over the Texans, the team announced Sunday. Although Maclin's on-field exam appeared to indicate an ACL tear, the MRI showed it was intact. His status is day to day.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport specified that Maclin suffered a high ankle sprain, and there is a chance he will play on Saturday against the New England Patriots
