Agree. I don't think it is the fear as much as the prep time. Those 4 days makes a difference. The first round time gap gives a team time to add some wrinkles into the play calling that hasn't been seen yet. By Championship game time, almost all the cards have been shown. In the end, overall best team will win.

I had tOSU as my personal #1 for several weeks, now, but even I saw the writing on the wall after watching them 'falter' for a half against a Wisky team.

Correct. I knew it yesterday, no matter how much sense it made for Ohio State to renew in #1, the committee would look for any excuse to put LSU as #1.

I noticed all the ESPN talking heads were on the same page last night and I knew the fix was in.

This is a major blow to Ohio State it opinion. Would have been far bette for LSU to soften up Clemson before having to face them.

Clemson is the best team out of the four.

Now that I have time to answer:

1. Why would you want to play them first? They are an unknown. It will be nice to get some film on them against a team with a pulse.

2. Maybe the Clemson tOSU game is a slobber knocker and they get dinged up?

3. Where the game is played? I'd rather LSU play them in New Orleans rather than Georgia.

4. If you have the opportunity to play either Clemson or tOSU rather than both, I'll take 1 thank you. Mamma didn't raise a dummy.

We are looking at 1994 and 1995 Nebraska and not even realizing it.

Disagree. First, Ohio State did struggle against Wisconsin for a while while LSU crushed a much better Georgia team. LSU played a tougher schedule and beat up everybody. And they'll have the Heisman winner. But it doesn't matter. Clemson didn't play anyone. It's a bye week for Ohio State.
